Burst Labs//Milwaukee-based music production company. Into producing a fair amount of commercial content, as well as some mainstream pop.
Narrominded Records//Fabulous label from the Netherlands. Produces a variety of music, including the group Boutros Bubba.
Present Music//High-brow music performance group based in Milwaukee. Focuses on neo-classical and experimental music.
Digitalis Industries//Home of Digitalis Recordings, Foxglove, and Digitalis Ltd. Seriously excellent music released in very small quantities. One of very few companies still releasing on cassette.
Type Records//Forerunners in excellent new music. A lot of neo-classical, ambient and avante-garde music. Run in part by John Twells, aka Xela.
Natural Snow Buildings//A group whose music has been an object of my obsession, as of late. Folk, ambient, drone, all beautiful.

Wiscpunk//Contrary to what it may seem, this is a simply a small network primarily comprised of Wisconsin & Minnesota residents to discuss underground music & other various forms of entertainment. Good people.
Sampleswap//Great resource for electronic musicians. A web-based community focused on amassing a very useful pool of high-quality sound samples. Totally free, though donations are appreciated.

Forced Exposure//Excellent record store. Web inventory is updated a bit leisurely, but they've got a terrific selection.
InSound//Another excellent record store. Stocks a healthy amount of vinyl and has a very friendly staff.
Midheaven Mailorder//Good record retailer and distributor based in the western states. Great staff and pretty obscure selection.
Bent Crayon//A very neat shop located in Cleveland. Stocks plenty of classic electronic and rock artists, as well as some more obscure stuff. Support small shops like this!
